Calling this disastrous piece an “album design” would be an insult to the very band it was meant to honor.
Old Work
One of the old projects I created in college is an album cover designed for the song “I’ll Be Your Hero” by the band Rhapsody of Fire. The design features a heroic and powerful visual style.
So I revised it as new.
Process
Ideas
I gathered references focused on heroic Roman gladiator illustrations, simple line work, and red-toned visuals.
Drafts
One of the sketches was developed into a digital draft for refinement. This stage allowed me to explore typography and color combinations more deeply.
Final (2D)
“I’ll Be Your Hero,” a song by the band Rhapsody of Fire, is a heroic, powerful, and passionate rock track. Based on that energy, the album cover was designed to be simple yet bold and heroic.
